NIST Year 6 - How We Organise Ourselves

Summative and Ongoing Assessment 2010

Central Idea:
Being organised empowers us to achieve.
An inquiry into:
 The organisation of self and groups.
 Organisational tools, attitudes and actions that determine success.
 The relationship between organisation and achievement.

Function: Thinking about the central idea for this unit, I now understand that organisation…
Is a very important thing when you want to work successfully. Even though it takes a bit more time
to organize things, being organized empowers us to achieve.
Between September 29 - October 8 2010 my ability to organise myself has…
Increased a little bit. I am working towards having an organized working space. In almost every
other way, I am independent.
Action: One of the goals I set myself was…
To organize my room and working space. I had trouble working in my disorganized space and
wanted a change to that.
Reflection: I achieved/did not achieve this goal because…
I am working to achieve this goal by cleaning out my work space independently. I try to organize
my place myself so I know where my stuff is.
Responsibility: What have you learned is this unit that may help you in the future?
I have learned that organization will help you very much in your work or anything else. Organiza-
tion is required in almost anything.
