PUBLIC NOTICE
Application was made on March 29, 2011 to the City of Lake Forest Park for a Sensitive Area
Work Permit (File No. 2011-SAMI-0003), Shoreline Substantial Development Exemption (File
No. 2011-SSD-0003) at the following location:
The permit application proposes constructing a temporary detour for the Burke Gilman Trail
while it is under construction. The detour will include a 160 foot long bark mulch path in the
sensitive area buffer of Lyon Creek and a small stair case outside of the sensitive area buffer.
After the trail is completed the path will be removed and the area returned to its former state. The
project will not require any work within the stream channel or wetlands. This proposal also
requires a Right of Way Use Permit from the City of Lake Forest Park. Additional information

The application was determined complete April 14, 2011. This notice includes a 14-day
comment period for which interested parties may comment on the Sensitive Area Work Permit
Application. The City will be accepting written comments in response to the applications
through April 29, 2011. All written comments should be addressed to the City of Lake Forest
Park Planning Department and mailed or hand delivered to 17425 Ballinger Way NE, Lake
Forest Park, WA 98155. Comments may be submitted via email to Steve Bennett, Planning
