Some virus can cause this bug in Yahoo Messenger. Check your Internet Options, go to Security
Tab, and see if there is a new item. Normal items there are Internet, Local Intranet, Trusted sites,
and Restricted sites. If you see a new item, chances are you were hit by a virus.

To resolve this, open a registry editor (click Start, click Run. On the Open box, type: regedit and
then press Enter). Navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \
Microsoft\ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Internet Settings \ Zones

There should only be 5 items there, numbered 0 to 4. If you see a different one, especially if you
see items that shows up as box, try deleting it. (Backup your registry first). If you were able to
delete that extra item, this might fix the bug, and you will be able to see the chat messages again
in yahoo messenger.

Klik Start - Run

ketik regsvr32 wshom.ocx enter
ketik regsvr32 jscript.dll enter
ketik regsvr32 urlmon.dll enter
ketik regsvr32 c:\Windows\System32\vbscript.dll enter

Bila tidak berhasil download script berikut ini. kemudian install di komputer anda. terus restart.

Problem : Can't see Text in Instant Message

Ingat sebelum memulai dianjurkan untuk menutup semua aplikasi yahoo messenger terlebih dahulu.
Caranya Klik kanan pada yahoo Icon kemudian pilih Exit.

1. Hal yang pertama coba check scripting telah enable di internet explorer. Internet Explorer terintegrasi
kedalam yahoo messenger jadi jika ada problem di Internet explorer akan bereffek ke yahoo messenger.

Cara untuk enable Scripting :

a. Pilih "Tools" menu di toolbar internet explorer dan pilih " Internet Options"
b. Sorot ke tab "Security"
c. Klik di Internet (globe) ikon dan klik pada tombol "Custom Level"
d. Scroll ke bawah menuju ke "Scripting"
e. Aktifkan beberapa hal ini:
* Active scripting
* Allow paste operation via script
* Scripting of java Applets are all enabled
f. Klik tombol "OK"
Setelah itu restart yahoo messenger anda, dan coba bila belum bisa coba langkah dibawah ini

2. Dalam start menu, klik Run. Copy & Paste atau ketik masing dll command dibawah ini di dalam kotak
run, kemudian klik ok
regsvr32 jscript.dll
regsvr32 vbscript.dll

Note jika anda mengunakan windows vista sementara disable user account control (UAC) anda. Kamu
dapat dengan mudah mengaktifkannya balik. Di menu Control Panel (Category View) pilih user
accounts and Family Safety, kemudian pilih User Accounts dan klik Turn User Account on or off.

3. Jika langkah diatas tidak membantu dan kamu mengunakan windows xp atau 2000, bisa anda coba
upgrade windows script 5.7

Untuk windows xp: Keluar dari semua browsers windows dan program chat termasuk yahoo messenger
sebelum menginstallnya. Berikut link dari microsoft untuk melakukan update tersebut :

Untuk Windows vista dan 7 : anda tidak perlu mendownload lagi, karena Operasi sistemnya telah
