much is in the box?
4. Find 2 numbers with a sum of 49 and difference of 11?
5. Jock has 34 stamps that is 6 more than twice that Dave has. How much stamps do
they have all together?

III. Difficult Round (5 pts each):

1. Cynthia’s father gave her P500 to start a savings acct. She then puts P80/wk to
the acct. How many wks before she can obtain > P1800?

2. Find the values in equation:

5 ( 5 * 41 * 36) – (8 + 14)

3. A person works for 1 ½ hrs on the 1st job, then 2 ¼ hrs on the 2nd job then ¾ hrs on
the 3rd job, how many hrs did he work?

4. Mr. Lee is putting up a rectangular fence with 80 x 12.5 m dimension, if fencing


material costs P185/m, how much will Mr. Lee spend to complete the fence?

5. Four equal small squares put together form a big square with a perimeter of 72
cm what is the area of each of the 4 small squares?
