A meal from McDonalds like the “Big Mac Combo” contains 1150

calories. The average person only needs to contain on average 2000

calories per day. That “Big Mac Meal” you’re eating contains for than

half the calories needed per day in just ONE meal! Every year the

obesity rate of many countries keeps increasing and McDonalds can

take a big part of the blame. The countries with the high obesity rates

are the ones with most McDonalds. McDonalds has been serving fast

food for the past 6 decades and now is causing a big problem,

impacting the obesity rate. This company’s fast food products have

many negative effects with the obesity being the biggest problem.

Obesity is becoming a big problem in the U.S. now and is rapidly

affecting other countries around the world. In the U.S. 60% of the

people are over-weight or obese. A cause of this is because of the

unhealthy fast food such as McDonalds

Being obese is becoming a big problem all around the world because

there are a couple of side effects. When people become obese they

have the chance of cancer, diabetes, heart attack, high blood pressure,

joint pain, metabolic syndrome, mobility impairment, osteoarthritis,

stroke, and depression

60% of the U.S. people in the U.S have a high chance of having these

side effects.

McDonalds can be part of the blame for the obesity because of

unhealthy and fating their food is. In 2003 McDonalds got a lawsuit for

their deep fried food. It’s dangerous to eat this type of food so much,

doctors recommended only eating fast food once a month. Yet there

are people who consume fast food such as McDonalds once a week

know that eating McDonalds has negative effects then why do they still

come back to it? McDonalds is like an addiction after you make it a


habit of eating so much, you just can’t quit. It is very hard for a person

that is obese to stop eating fast food after they make it habit because

of the bad fats McDonalds use in their food.

As you can see eating fast food such as McDonalds or Burger King

has many risk too it. Not everyone can just stop eating McDonalds but

doctors recommended eating McDonalds only once a month. If you do

tend to eat a lot at McDonalds start choosing to eat their salads instead

of their burgers. Eating fast food to much can lead to obesity because it

is very unhealthy and bad for the health.
