APPLIED ERGONOMICS AND WAYS TO REDUCE WORK STRESS

INTRODUTION
 Organization of the 21st century are extremely concerned
about creating a warm,caring,supportive and
encouraging environment for their employees at their
workstation.
 While organization are trying to exploit and explore the
physical and mental capabilities and skills of their
employees, it is very important to maintain a healthy
psychosomatic balance for continuous improved
performance of their employees.
ERGONOMICS

It is the study of the relationship between people


and their work environment wherein, the
workplace ,task and tools are designed to fit
individual capabilities and limitations,so that
people can do their jobs safely.
WHY ERGONOMICS
 Many jobs involve continuos or repatative
physical strain with minimum oppurtunity for
leisure or rest.
 These repetative jobs lead to injuries and
employees ,over a period of time, develop
physical or mechanical stress in particular body
parts,which is commonly called as the cumulative
trauma disorder(CTD)
AIM OF ERGONOMICS
 Erogonomics aims at enabling and ensuring
harmony-aligning human efforts and
technologically designed work station to
minimize the physical fatigue of workers.
 It is an appoarch that keep in focus human needs
and capabilities,while designing technological
system ,tool and equipments to human
charateristics for task alignment.

 Ease of use
 Voicemail instruction
 Aesthetics-sign at the work station

CONCLUSION
 Negligence towards ergonomics would cost the
organization a lot in terms of
efficiency,productivity,absenteeism,etc.
 Thus ,the use of ergonomically-designed tools
,devices and equipments is very important to
safeguard the health of employee and also to
increase their mental and physical abilities for the
maximum period of productive time.
