1. What is ergonomics?
-the study of creating a work environment that fits employees, increases productivity,
and reduces the chance of accidents. Because workers in the hospitality sector
frequently stand, bend, and handle heavy objects for extended periods of time, it is
especially crucial.

2. What is the significance of ergonomics to hospitality facilities planning?


-increase safety, convenience and well-being for all. The science of fitting employees
into their work environments is known as ergonomics in facilities. We can prevent work-
related illnesses or injuries by being aware of the requirements related to human factors
in production.

3. What are some examples of ergonomics?


-Front desk employees can use adjustable-height workstations to increase comfort and
lower their risk of back pain, and housekeepers can use lightweight vacuums and
adjustable cleaning carts to lessen physical strain on their bodies.

4. Why is ergonomics is important in hospitality industry?


-It entails creating tools, workstations, and other equipment that are tailored to the
human form in order to lower the risk of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries.
Ergonomics not only increases safety but also productivity and efficiency because it
reduces worker fatigue and discomfort.
