 
 Consumer Preference is a concept, used in the social
sciences, particularly economics. It assumes a real or
imagined "choice" between alternatives and the possibility
of rank ordering of these alternatives, based on happiness,
satisfaction, enjoyment, utility they provide.
 Reebok is a leading worldwide designer, marketer and
distributor of sports, fitness and casual footwear, apparel
and equipment. 
 Reebok began its growth into a worldwide enterprise in
1979.

 Adidas was founded in 1924 in Germany by two brothers
Adi and Rudolf Dassler. The company was first named
Dassler shoes and later became Adidas. By the Dassler
shoes being seen in the Olympics this really helped the
company get it’s name known. However, in 1948 Rudolf
Dassler leaves to start his own company which is now
known as Puma. Once Rudolf left his brother came up with
the famous three stripes logo and changed the name to
Adidas.

 The company was founded in January 1964 as Blue Ribbon
Sports by Bill Bowerman and Philip Knight and officially
became Nike, Inc. in 1978. The company takes its name
from Nike the Greek goddess of victory.

any other.

The table value of X2 for 3 degree of freedom at 5% level of significance is 7.815. So the tabulated
value < calculated value.

 Interpretation
The calculated value of X2 is higher than the table value. So our Ha (alternative hypothesis) is
accepted.
 Reebok is the market leader among all its close counterparts
in the sports shoe segments.
 It is found that Quality and Comfort is the most important
influencing factor here for choosing a sport shoes.
 Advertisement plays a very important factor in choosing a
brand of sport shoes.
 Consumers are not showing that kind of craze in Nike for
past few years.
 The market share of Reebok is high than the Nike and
Adidas.
 The company should open more outlets in Bilaspur city.
 The company should increase promotional efforts in
Bilaspur city to continue its position in the market as brand
leader in sports shoes segments.
 The research is time consuming.
 
 It is expensive to conduct the project.
 
 The research is conducted only in the bilaspur city.

 Some of the respondents were non willing to give responses.


From the above data it is concluded that Reebok is the most
preferred sport shoe brand among the Consumers which
they buy and it is preferred more than the other sport shoes
brand due to its comfortability and quality.
