Milford Community Focus Group for Education

Monday, June 20th Milford Central Academy 8am - 10am

The blooming partnership between Milford Central Academy and Communities in Schools of
Delaware will focus on new and innovative ways to promote student success and staff support.
Far from a one-size-fits-all approach, this meeting will ask for the input of all Milford
community members and will focus on achieving the following five principles that every student
deserves:

a. One-on-one relationships with adults who mentor or help guide students;

b. A safe place for students to learn and develop before, during and after the school day;
c. Connections to health professionals and counselors;
d. Connections with college and career counselors -- as well as internship opportunities -- that
can help students envision their potential for achieving significant goals; and
e. Connections to community service and service-learning opportunities.

To learn more about the Communities in Schools of Delaware and Milford Central Academy
partnership and priorities, please join us on June 20th.

All parents, students, administrators, business leaders and community members are invited to
