    Practical Test 30 Marks

    1. Enter the following paragraph in a document:

    “Software has been targeted as a growth sector in India. Besides the


    industry's own potential for exports, software also plays the crucial role
    in information technology (IT), use of which is fast becoming the key
    for competitiveness in any industry. Hence, for the growth of IT
    industry as well as the other industries, a rapid growth of software
    industry, both in terms of size and quality is absolutely essential.”
    i. Insert a watermark IT for the page.
    ii. Apply page border and a page colour.
    iii. Insert footnote on IT.
    iv. Insert a citation of any book.

    2. Create a report in MS Access for the employee table created


    (minimum four fields and 6 records). It should be grouped on
    Department. Also count the no. of records in each group.

    3. Create a phone book in MS Excel with fields Name, Phone number,


    City and country & enter 10 records.
    a. Format the data in attractive way.
    b. Display phone number, City and Country when you enter any
    name using lookup.
    c. Protect the phone book data in the sheet.
    d. Explain what will happen if you are entering a name not in the
    list.
