PRODUCTIVTY DIAGNOSIS :

Productivity diagnosis is the identification of problems related to a particular productivity situation and to find out the causes and effects of the situation in order to improve the productivity situation.

BRAINSTORMING :
Brainstorming is an organized process and technique used for generating ideas in problem solving. It is based on thee axiom that may heads are normally better than one. It also suggests the fact that team effort produces greater results than single or individual effort. USES AND BENEFITS : Brainstorming is employed in : 1.Determining or identifying a problem 2.Determining the causes of a problem and 3.Selecting a solution to a problem

 A brainstorming exercise normally begins with the composition of group which GUIDELINES FOR BRAINSTORMING could range between 4 and 12; The group appoints a leader who directs the process; A recorder is also appointed who writes down all the ideas generated by the group; The choice of a problem is by the group; Every member of the group understands the problem and it is ensured that member have an equal opportunity of expression of ideas; A large number of ideas generated. Emphasis is not on the quality of ideas in brainstorming but on quality ; Ideas generated should be recorded on a flip- chart or blackboard; Ideas should not be criticized because criticisms discourage free expression or flow of ideas; Free-wheeling is encourage.
