One of the youngest languages born naturally on our planet and the only one of the Americas not having been formed in Europe, with national language status A lingua franca of our hemisphere like Swahili spoken in the east, and a vehicle for tolerance, combining words and other elements of cultures of the various continents: This is how I want to introduce my native language Papiamentu The tone you use when speaking to pronounce Papiamentu words, may be determining their meaning The grammar is consistent , not very difficult to learn, being logical and simple,

but notwithstanding its simplicity there is no thinkable theme, not to be handled in the language, either in books, papers or magazines, for instructions, prose or poetry, in a debate or in a passionate speech So I invite you to learn it, in order to read some beautiful Papiamentu poetry
