What is a goal?
A goal is what you are trying to achieve or reach. Goals are usually based upon needs and wants. Goals must be specific, measurable and have time limits.

An outcome that can be measured.

A date and time that you will accomplish your goal.

Why Set Goals


Ask yourself some questions
Why do I want to achieve this goal? The reason you want to achieve a goal can actually be more important than the actual goal. How important is this goal to me? Remember, the stronger your commitment to the goal, the easier the goal becomes.

Creating a Goal

-Write the goal. -List 3 steps for achieving this goal. -Write the target completion date.

Sample Goal

I will to improve my cardiovascular fitness by jogging six miles each week by August 25.

List the plan of action... I will
