On Saturday the 13th June 2009, NIMA Ulhasnagar Branch arranged 4th Clinical Meeting on topic Panchkarma at Dr.

Kumavats Dental Hospital Conference Hall from 3.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. Dr. Muljibhai Makwana Senior Ayurveda & Panchkarma practitioner, Professor & Reader, Dept. of Kayachikitsa, Smt. K. G. Mittal Punarvasu Ayurvedic College was the Speaker on the occasion. Dr. Narendra Panjwani, President NIMA Ulhasnagar Branch welcomed all the Doctors on the Occasion. Dr. Amit Mishra former General Secretary NIMA Ulhasnagar Branch introduced Dr. Makwana to the audience. Dr. Suresh Ahuja welcomed Dr. Makwana on behalf of NIMA Ulhasnagar Branch. Dr. Makwana spoke about the Panchkarma, its Definition, its Indications, and its Contraindications. He also described in detail about Vamana, Virechana, Nasya, Basti (Anuvasana & Niruha), Rakta Mokshana. He also spoke about the Purva-Karma like Snehana, Svedana, its Methodology, Indications & Contra-indications. He also spoke about the effect of Vaya Sthapana Mahakashaya in increasing the immunity of the body, a study which he had conducted a few months back & had presented a paper on a Conference some time back. He also emphasized about maintaining Doctor-Patient relationship & Convincing the patient to take Panch Karma treatment & also about earning livelihood from the daily practice. The lecture was followed by an interesting Question & Answer Session. Dr. Panjwani presented the Vote of Thanks. Around 30 Doctors from city attended the Clinical Meeting.
