    FREE WORKHEALTH CHECKS COMING SOON TO DAREBIN


    What are WorkHealth Checks?
    If youre a small business or sole trader, you and your workers will find it convenient to come along to a central location for a free and confidential health check. Health checks will be available the week starting 18 July at various Darebin locations.

    The benefits for workers:


    a chance to learn more about personal health an increased awareness of preventable diseases such as cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes learn encouraging, positive ways to reduce risk factors and maintain good health.

    The benefits for employers:


    improved productivity improved staff morale reduced absenteeism reduced presenteeism (being at work when unwell) reduced staff turnover reduced workplace injuries positive corporate image.

    During a 15 minute WorkHealth Check, you will:


    complete a short questionnaire have your waist circumference, blood cholesterol, blood pressure and blood glucose measured be referred to your GP when applicable. So come along and look after your most important resource your health! Or if you are an employer, let your staff know of the health checks and encourage them to take advantage of this initiative!

    WorkHealth Checks will be held in the following locations:


    Fairfield - 18 July, Darebin Enterprise Centre Ltd Reservoir - 19 July, Reservoir Civic Centre Preston - 20 and 21 July, Darebin Council Offices Northcote - 22 July, Northcote Library Bookings are essential.
