    The Ophiuchus Rumor: Move it! In more cultures than one, the number 13 is believed to be evil and unlucky.

    For as much as possible, believers avoid having to do with this cursed numeral. Although I am not so particular about it, I find it really disappointing to hear about a 13th sign on the Zodiac - Ophiuchus. I am not moving! See? Being strongly territorial is not a trait of Cancer, its of a Leoand in the very heart of me, I am. I have learned to love my Zodiac sign as a part of my personality. During my identity crisis stage, I have relied on astrology to help me discover who I really am, the tendencies of what I can be and what I can be not. Therefore, it helped me accept and love myself (teeny bopper!) Suddenly, after thousands of years something comes along changing most of the things that we are used to believe. I am not afraid of change, yet, I am not moving. What if I need to? Then it occurred to me that I must not be content of what I hear and sworn not to dwell on the momentary media hype. I need to have the power to conquer my anxiety. Using my fingertips, I landed on a very valid dispute. It began when astronomy professor Parke Kunkle of Minneapolis Community and Technical College told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune about the precession of stars over time. He said "Two thousand years ago the Sun was 'in' whatever it was in. Now it's about a whole constellation off from that." Kunkle's quote went viral and was picked up by FOX News and other media outlets because people mistakenly assume that Astrology is based on constellations. But that's not true. So what is the truth? Astrology is based on the four seasons, not on constellations -- and the seasons don't change. As Levine said above, there are four seasons, each with a beginning, middle and end, which adds up to 12 zodiac signs. There is no 13th astrological sign. Period. No move necessary. I am a Leo and I will not wake up a Virgo tomorrow. ^_^
