WHAT IS JAYCEES Welcome to one of the greatest young people`s organization in the world -Junior Chamber International..(JAYCEES) Junior Chamber International is the only largest youth organization with leadership development, founded by Henry Giessenbier in 1915 at St. Louis Missouri, USA. The movement was initiated in India through Calcutta chapter in the year 1949 by a Philippine Jaycee Seguanda mapa . THE FOUNDER`S PERSPECTIVE From within the walls of the soul of this organization, wherein the foundation of character and good citizenship are laid, I hope a message will come in the sometime of tomorrow that will stir the people towards the establishment of a permanent and everlasting world peace. MISSION To provide development opportunities that empowers young people to create positive change. VISION To be the leading global network of young active citizens.

AREAS OF OPPORTUNITIES IN JCI

The opportunities available within JCI are framed with a broad perspective as to cater to the particular needs and necessity of each member. The five basic are as of opportunity offered under the headings are;

Management Area
The management area provides opportunity for the development of managerial as well administrative kills through learning LOM management. It deals with finance records, recognition, membership growth, marketing and public relations.

Individual Development Area

Opportunities for personal development are offered under the individual development area. Training and seminars such as Leadership in Action,Personal Dynamics,Effective Communications, Goal Setting etc,help members to speak effectively and come out with best of their abilities.

Community Area The Community area opportunity gives the member a chance to work for his/her community. The member surveys the need of the community and organizers projects catering to those needs.

Business Area
This area will provide for members to contribute to the development of economic infrastructure. It induces as well enhances qualities of entrepreneurship in an individual.

International Area
Through this area members can derive an awareness of what is happening in other parts of the world. Depending upon the amount of effort, time and energy that a member is prepared to contribute towards the organization,will give the result.

WHAT IS JUNIOR CHAMBER INTERNATIONAL

Junior Chamber International is a world wide organization of young persons.This welcomes to its rank,men and women between the aged of 18 to 40 years regardless of colour,creed,cast or race. It is a voluntary training organization where young people join together in afriendly spirit, train themselves an d become better citizens by means of active participation in various projects undertaken by its members. By actively participating in Junior Chamber activities,every member gets prepared to serve the needs of his own skill or career in a better way.It is a stage for free expression and centre for self development This unique training and practical experience provided to members will produce outstanding community leaders,bronden the personality,enlarge the outlook and improve the ability to handle people and get along with them.
