PERSONAL RESPONSE I have read a story What Katy did, and I was eagered to finish it.

In my opinion Katy is a mature, sweet and generous girl. Other children in this story are also lovely. When they were young, they were so naughty and got into so many scrapes. They were so endearing in nature. At first, I did not like Aunt Izzie much because she was so strict. But observing her kindness and affection for the whole family, especially when Katy was paralysed, she gave a full attention to Katy and took care of her. This showed that, Aunt Izzie was not bad person because she took care of Katy with love. When she died, it was a bitter experience for Katys family. It was like another obstruction for Katys family after was paralysed. I love Cousin Helen too, she had inspired and guided Katy so well until the girl managed to revive her spirit to continue living.

I really admired Katy. When she had an accident, she still kept her patience and sweetness. She also helped Papa managed the house. If I was her, I could not have been that brave nor strong to face my problem like Katy did. She was a indigent person. The most interesting parts of the story for me wa s when Katys cousin, Helen came to visit Katy after she was paralysed. Although Helen too was disabled , she gave a good advises to Katy and finally katy became motivate to continue her life. From here, we can see that the character of Helen was a diligent person and can give good advice although she was a disabled person. This moment had given new life to Katy.

After Helens advice, Katy life had changed although she was still paralysed. Katy became more enthuasistic. By using wheelchair, now she did just stay in her room but she can move everywhere inside her house. Her promise to be a mother to her others sibling can resume. Katy beca me diligent person . After 4 years her paralysis, she finally recovered from the misfortunes and she had became a normal person like the other. Thanks to Helen because she gave a good advises to Katy. This story is inspirational story especially for the teenagers. Although we get many obstacles in our life, we need to be more indigent to face our problem.
