August 19, 2011 In recent days it has come to light that Democratic Rep. Brandon Jones accepted a campaign donation from the Ameristar Casino in Vicksburg in the amount of $1,000. This should concern the citizens of House District 111 since the voters in this district have repeatedly voted to deny casino gaming in Jackson County. Republican candidate Charles Busby believes such a campaign contribution demonstrates just how out of touch Jones is with the conservative voters in this district. Busby said, Our campaign has worked hard to show the voters in House District 111 that I will listen to their concerns and act as their vocal conservative representative in Jackson. I will not go against the will of the people and I will not sell my vote in the legislature to special interests or any candidate for Speaker, especially to those individuals and groups that do not reflect the values and beliefs held by so many here in House District 111. Unlike his opponent, the majority of Busbys campaign funds raised during this election season have come from individual donors in House District 111. Busby is proud to have such vast local support. I have been overwhelmed by the volume of support I have received from the voters, Busby said. They want a true conservative representing them in Jackson, and I pledge to be that voice. My conservative principles align with the principles of my party, and Im proud of that.

########## Charles Busby is the Republican nominee for Mississippi House District 111 in Jackson County. Busby is the President and CEO of Orion Engineering in Pascagoula.
