    Home reading log is complete (5 days x 20 minutes) with reading response, parent signature and number of minutes.

    Good Fit Books


    Chooses books at the appropriate level.

    The student has 4 or more different genres in his/her book bag.

    The student is on task most of the time and gets to work quickly.

    The student has 3 different genres in his/her book bag.

    Home reading log complete with only 3-4 days with reading response, parent signature and number of minutes.

    Most books are at the appropriate level.

    First Nine Weeks

    7 pointsAcceptable

    The student is on task some of the time and takes awhile to get to work.

    The student has at least 2 different genres in his/her book bag.

    Home reading log is complete with reading response, parent signature and number of minutes. Less than 20 minutes per day. Five days of reading.

    Some books are below or above the appropriate level.
