    DANCE NIGHT

    PROPOSAL FOR FAIR 2011

    I. Brief Description of the Activity: The Dance Night will be an open to the public event that will be staged at the PSHS Gym. It will feature numerous dance numbers from PSHS (SaGala, willing teachers, selected students), as well as from other dance crews (SaGala alumni, UP Streetdance Club, etc.) The dance floor will be opened after all performances to allow all those present to dance as well. The Dance Night will feature all forms of dance modern jazz and contemporary, hip-hop and even old school classics. This will be a venue for all students to enjoy the night dancing away, while also appreciating the skills and talents of those from within and out of Pisay. II. Proposed Date: almost 2 hours (6pm 7:45pm) III. Proposed Venue: Multi-Purpose Gym (MPG) IV. Materials Needed: - lights / fog machine - sound system / tech boot - monoblock chairs V. Layout of Venue (MPG) : - stage dcor - projector / laptop - tickets

    VI. Proposed Program: a. National Anthem b. Prayer Contemporary Number by Selected Students c. Performances from Within Pisay a. SaGala (5 numbers) b. Teachers c. Selected Students (4 numbers) d. Performances from Outside Pisay (approx. 5 numbers) e. Dance Off between Crews / Best Audience Member who can Dougie/Cat Daddy, etc. f. Open Dance Floor

    VII. Committees Needed: a. Internal Coor - invites to dancers from within Pisay, coordinating with in-house guests - files permits, papers, etc. - makes detailed program b. External Coor - invitation to other schools/dance crews - looks for sponsors c. Logistics / Finance - Ticket selling - lights, sounds and AVPs - Dressing Room + Bathroom clean-up d. Design - Main Theme / Name of event - Gym Dcor/ Overall layout of gym - Designing of Tickets + Posters VIII. Specific Tasks Needed: real name of the event canvassing for lights + sounds? (or use the same as for other fair events?) invitation of other dance crews invitation of dancers from within school making/designing of tickets making of AVPs per performer clearing out/cleaning of Dressing Rooms/Bathrooms
