    In China this is easy in the west, as there are so many empty roads. Where a new road has been built the old one is now the corn drying area. If there is no spare road then car parks outside shopping centres are also fair game.

    China – The corn harvest September 26th 2008

    Ever since we started to approach the Kazakh border there has been corn everywhere, piled
    up on carts, drying on roads or on any available bit of flat ashpalt. In China this is easy in
    the west, as there are so many empty roads. Where a new road has been built the old one is
    now the corn drying area. If there is no spare road then car parks outside shopping centres
    are also fair game for the corn dryers. It doesn't exactly get in the way, but........
