Dear Mayor Zimmer:

Commissioners:

Chairman

Libera D. Marotta
Frank Raia

On behalf of the Chairman and Authority commissioners, I would like to thank you for your recent letter expressing support and appreciation for the efforts of the Authority during the hurricane. Like the City's officials and employees, Authority personnel have worked very long and tiring days over the last few weeks, and it has been a very difficult time for all of us.

Since we are moving into the final months of the construction and start-up of the wet weather pump station, the Authority would like to provide you with email updates that are more frequent and less formal than the engineers monthly
memo to the Chairman (which will continue to be circulated). I'll send them to
you as often as necessary.

Executive Director

The latest developments are:

The sub- contractor performing the cleaning and relining of the sewer outfall has been working double shifts, weather and tides permitting.

The cleaning of the first barrel of the outfall should be finished on Monday, September 12.
The" Felt liner fabric" has been ordered so a place has been secured in the

production line. Final sizing of the liner should be completed by

September 15.

The" Inversion"( installation) of the liner could be completed as soon as

October 1 with the final sealing of the new system by October 7.

As for the pump station itself, all work is complete except for training and start up during a rain event.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
