ACADIANA DEBATES AIRING LIVE THIS WEEK


LOCAL CITIZENS GROUP PARTNERS WITH LAFAYETTE DEMOCRATS TO HOST ACADIANAS ONLY POLITICAL DEBATE

WHAT: A series of informational debates featuring candidates for House, Senate and Lafayette City-Parish Council. This unique broadcast will provide candidates an opportunity to share their respective visions for moving Louisiana forward by way of timely issue-based questions solicited from citizens throughout Acadiana. WHY: Like Acadianas voters, the organizers of these debates want answers to serious issues that affect our daily lives but are often overlooked by more commercial debates. Our goal is to provide a forum for candidates to go beyond the talking points and sound bites to share how they intend to address education, infrastructure, inequality and a range of other topics that deserve a fair hearing. We are in the process of conrming the attendance of candidates throughout Acadiana and encourage House & Senate candidates to contact us if they have not yet heard from our team. WHERE: Broadcast live from AOC Studios 704 Lee Ave. Lafayette, LA WHO: This initiative is a cooperative endeavor between volunteer citizens group Acadiana Progressive and The Lafayette Parish Democratic Executive Committee. Efforts are focused on State Senate & House races as well as the City-Parish Council. We may feature surprise special guest(s) on our 9/22 show, so stay tuned. !
