Assignments & Projects

Students will be expected to submit all assignments, homework and projects via school email. Revisions and extra credit work will be granted depending on students behavior in class.

Goals
Computer class offer students the opportunity to: n n Create original works as a means of personal expression. Interact, collaborate and publish while using a variety of digital environments and media. Plan strategies to guide inquiry, locate, organize, analyze and use information from a various sources and media. Understand and use technology systems. Practice safe, legal and responsible use of information and technology.

Online research, history of technology, Microsoft Word and templates, Wikis, Cyber bullying, Power Point, Prezi and other web applications.
7th Grade

Requirements

Online research, intellectual property, Netiquette, Microsoft Office Word II, Power Point II, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Publisher and other web applications.
8th Grade

Grades
Students will be graded on the following areas: Class work: 20% Homework: 10% Assessment: 30% Presentation of Learning (POL): 20% Quizzes: 20%

Online research, Internet Safety, Microsoft Office programs: Word, Publisher, Power Point and Excel, Photoshop and other multimedia web applications.

Computer Lab Rules

1. 2. 3. 4. Keep all parts from the computer plugged and connected. Print only when you have permission. Leave computer station area clean. Downloading inappropriate games, photos, videos or using the computers for social network activities are consider against school policies. Cyber bullying is not accepted.

Classroom Expectations
n n n n n Come in quietly, sit down and start on your Bell Work. Bring a note/pass when arriving late to class. Raise your hand quietly to speak. Treat others with respect. Wait seated to be dismissed.

Classroom Rewards
n n n n n Listen to music while working in class. Sit down with friend while working in class. Revise and re-submit assignments. Free computer time. Note to parent via Teacher Comment-Power School.

Consequences
