PRESENTATION BASED 3D

ON PROPPELLER CLOCK

INTRODUCTION OF PROPPELLER CLOCK

The propeller clock is linear array of LED rotating at high angular velocity to generate a circular screen In this project, aim is to use 89c2051 microprocessor to control a row of LED. In display, the light,LEDs, or whatever make visible dots, are not on all the time, the led turn on and off after one another, very rapidly. Several sensors including infrared proximity sensors are used to detect the completion of one revolution.

PRINCIPLE OF PROPPELLER CLOCK

The basic principle used in propeller clock is the persistence of vision. Due to POV of human eyes if the movement is fast enough, the image formed by moving array is merge into one and the sensation is that of image floating in the air, By synchronizing these LEDs,and keeping in mind the concepts of POV and limit the revolution, we can display a clock. As the LED rotate at high speed they can be control with the help of microcontroller so as to glow them in such a combination that a floating display is formed.

WORKING
If we move a bright light fast by the eyes it will leave a line behind because the human brain and eyes are slow to interpret fast changes in light intensity, leaving an afterglow. Motor spins the propeller. Small microprocessor keeps track of time and changes the pattern on seven LEDs with exact timing to simulate an array of LEDs. It is illusion, but its work nicely

COMPONENTS
CMOS battery. The reed switch. AT89C2051 microcontroller. SMD Leds.

APPLICATION
3D computer graphics. If a fan is also mounted along with the LEDs it can also work as a fan. It can be used to replace various public LCD screens thereby providing a cheaper solution.
