    STEPS HOW TO USE FIRE EXTINGUISHER

    Firstly, determine a clear path out of building, should you need to evacuate before begin to use the fire extinguisher.

    STEP ONE.

    Secondly, use the P.A.S.S technique to operate the extinguisher. Whereby P.A.S.S is for P:pull, A:aim, S:squeeze, S:sweep. Most of the fire extinguisher operate in this same fashion.

    StEP TwO.

    Thirdly, pull the pin from the top of the extinguisher to release the tamper seal, activing the extinguisher.

    STEP THReE.

    Next, aim the nozzle or nose of the extinguisher toward the base or bottom of the fire. You want to attack the fire at the source. Be remember, this is one time you want to aim low.

    STEP F0UR.

    Following this, squeeze the handle down toward the extinguisher. Depressing the handle release the extinguishing element.

    sTeP FIvE.

    After that, sweep across the fire in a side to side motion until the fire appears to be out.

    StEP SiX.

    Lastly, watch the fire closely. If there seem to be any signs of the fire reigniting, simply repeat steps 4 through 6.
