INTRODUCTION

Expansion, which involves setting up of facilities in new locations, is a critical and

essential part of the attributes that define a successful organization. This
sometimes comes with a couple of hitches that includes breaking into a saturated
market and effective time management. In order to manage these hitches
effectively, it is expedient that an organization ensures the following; Good
publicity, improved and more efficient services to the community and maximizing
their strengths while contracting out their weaknesses in order to ensure effective
time management.

Good publicity is one of the most effective ways of breaking into an already
saturated market. It involves the advertising and the dissemination of
information, designed to increase public interest in or awareness of something.
There are various means of achieving this. One way that has over the years
proved very productive is attacking any of the five senses of the intended market
especially the sense of sight. Statistics have shown that we retain at least 35% of
what we see and when continuously in sight, the brain as the ability to retain at
least 80% of the information. This goes without saying much that to break into a
market, the sight sense of the intended market should be treated with utmost
priority. This type of publicity includes billboards, posters, t-shirts, face caps, ball
pens, card holders, calendars, greeting cards, customized mugs to mention a few
all carrying the name, logo and general information about the organization.
