Compliance of Mother in the Provision of Taburia in Children Age 6-24 Months In Pangkep District

Taburia program is one strategy in efforts to improve the nutritional status of children. Taburia program success is determined by the compliance to the program. Many factors associated with compliance. The purpose of this study was to obtain information of Compliance of Mother in the provision Taburia in children age 6-24 months in Pangkep District in 2011. This type of research is a qualitative research design with phenomenology approach. Information gathering is done through Focus Group Discussions (FGD), in-depth interviews and participation observation. The determination of informants in the study conducted by the method of snowball sampling. Key informants of the study were mothers who had children age 6-24 months and experienced in providing Taburia in children. The results showed that the predisposing factors of mother compliance formed by several aspects, namely knowledge, attitudes, subjective norms, personal autonomy, and selfcontrol in providing Taburia in children. Enabling factors of compliance are the availability of the human resources and availability of information relating to Taburia. While the reinforcing factors of compliance is acting situations, the reference of cadres and social support from husbands, other family members and cadres in the provision of Taburia It is recommended that mothers who are compliant and succeeded in giving Taburia serve as a community model, Posyandu cadre empowerment, commitment and coordination of stakeholders in developing a multidisciplinary approach to solve the problems in the provision Taburia.
