Jacqueline is a Barossa Valley artist we have invited to exhibit at our tasting rooms. Her paintings echo the vineyard rose gardens currently blooming. Jacqueline is known nationally for her floral paintings. Her work has been a featured topic twice in Australian Artist Magazine in 2008, in Inside Out Magazine and Australian Country Style, in the book Creative Spaces. and in New Zealand publications. She has exhibited and taught nationally and overseas. Originally from Sydney she made the tree change eight years ago to Kapunda, and hasnt looked back. In October 2008 she opened her own art gallery Salon Rouge, a 12 minute drive from our vineyard where she displays her work and that of selected regional and interstate artists. Salon Rouge is open Wednesday to Sundays from February.

I get a lot of inspiration from being rurally based. Its peaceful, beautiful, and rugged. It still feels new to me. Every day I see something new I want to paint.

The Barossa is full of the most beautiful roses. The best are the ones I stumble across at their peak in a garden. I love their casual elegance.
