My work for many years has centred
on interpreting through equestrian
subjectmatter, the qualities of
speed, power, and athleticism of the
animal. Currently, the compositions
are focusing on placing the horse
in an architectural setting of
stables. These horses are solid, but
transparent, almost ghost figures,
inhabiting stables from previous
centuries. I work mainly in oils on
canvas, but use mixed drawing
media for other themes.
