An effort made to know the various causes of job retention from the employees prospective.
Now a day Employee Retention Program has become the integral part of HR. It is a systematic effort to create and foster an environment that encourages employees to remain employed by having policies and practices in place that address their diverse needs.
To help the employee to be more specific about their expectation from the organization in order to get best practices and job satisfaction. To help the organization to reduce the turnover and attrition of the employees and also to reduce the recruitment and training cost by retaining the best manpower resources. To meet the organizational objectives of improving the productivity and efficiency of the employees by imbibing the best possible resources and practices.
SAMPLE SIZE
As part of its data gathering efforts, 30 participants asked to fill the questionnaire about various factors contributing them to stay in an organization and their opinions collected
As our Research required knowing the views and opinions of the employees of the organizations we have chosen questionnaire as a tool. We designed a Questionnaire which covered the factors responsible for Retention and satisfaction of employees in an organization

FINDINGS/CONCLUSIONS
The questionnaire sheet asked employees to rate the possible factors of their job satisfaction and retention from Excellent, Good , Fair and Poor. Most of the employees were satisfied with their salary, incentives and bonus package to be reasoned as a factor of retention in present job. Most of them were satisfied with the leave and healthcare benefit policies of their organization Employees had also met the expectation of the sufficient work knowledge, training programmes and career development opportunities by their organizations. Most of them agreed upon the good working conditions provided by employers and felt that their skills are being utilized properly. Employees have rated maximum to the factor of support from other staff in their work , teamwork and the organization culture to be considered as the major factor of retention. New assignments and performance appraisal has got the least points to be considered for the retention.
