Jesus Time ... In this weeks stories we will see how God used Samuel as a leader to anoint young David as king. We will end the week with the story of David and Goliath. Language ... more alphabet activities; adding ing to action words; declarative sentences; completing our story based on the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You Hear?; writing our part of a progressive story that we received from a 1st grade class in Virginia; look at the beginning, middle and end as we read the story Anansi and the Moss Covered Rock. Science ... we will at a special gift of God - the owl! Math ... we will learn about subtraction sentences and using subtraction sentences to separate and compare. We will also connect addition and subtraction facts.

Things to remember... We have two eld trips next week. Please be sure to turn in permission slips by Friday. All children will be jumping for Jump Rope for Heart on November 22nd regardless if they are collecting donations. Please return permission slip by Friday. Lunch time for the Thanksgiving Feast for 1st graders is 11:20 to 12:00. Hope that you will be able to join us. Turn in your lunch orders at the school ofce.
