Meeting was called to order at 11:55. II. Adoption of Agenda A. No changes were proposed. B. Sen. Dawn Adamson motioned to adopt the adjenda. Sen Stephen Warta seconded. The motion paseed without objection.

III. Approval of Minutes A. No changes were proposed. B. Sen. Dawn Adamson motioned to adopt the minutes. Sen. Stephen Warta seconded. The motion passed without objection IV. Guest Welcome V. Reports A. Faculty and Staff Report 1. Kim Bloomstrom. Absent. 2. Jo Didiano. The college is hiring two new full time positions. One of these will be another person to help Korry with the loan and other financial information. The search committee is being formed. B. Presidents Report 1. Pres. Jason Warta stated that he had selected Keith Asche as his choice to fill the office of Vice President. He approved it his choice with the director; it now required a vote of the council. After answering a few questions, Pres. Jason Warta called for a vote and Keith Asche was approved as the new Vice President. C. Vice Presidents Report 1. D. Committee Reports 1. Board of Election Committee: no members 2. Finance Committee: Sen. Jennifer Olah, Rep. Chris Harris, Sen. Denise Reeve No members present. 3. Planning Committee: Sen. Denise Reeve, Sen. Dawn Adamson, Rep. David Johnson Sen. Dawn Adamson stated that the cooperation with the Japanese culture club on the BBQ didnt happen because the Japanese culture club hadnt been approved yet. Rep. David Johnson pointed out that there had been few people helping at the BBQ, but those people who helped were there most of the day. Several people from outside of Student Government helped a lot on the BBQ. Jo Didiano said that the BBQ, overall, was a success because of the help from staff, faculty, and students. 4. Rules Committee: Sen. Stephen Warta, Rep. Chris Harris Nothing to report. 5. Student Media Board: Rep. Hattie Schmidtkunz See Monitor club report..

6. Constitution Committee: Pres. Jason Warta, Sen. Jennifer Olah, Sen. Stephen Warta, Rep. Chris Harris, Rep. Theresa Thomas Planning a meeting time. Will be meeting soon. 7. Club Council: Sen. Denise Reeve, Rep. David Johnson, Rep. Desiree Chambers, Rep. Theresa Thomas No meetings yet. E. Club Reports 1. Math Club: Rep. Theresa Thomas The Thanksgiving baskets are coming along great. Volunteers are needed to help assemble and deliver the baskets. The baskets will be prepared and sent out between the 16th and the 21st of November. Bake sale will be held on Monday, October 24 from 10 to 5pm 2. Mat-Su Carbon Crew: Rep. David Johnson A couple of dozen people showed up at the Funky Ride. They logged 107 miles overall. There was some community participation, but no involvement from the college. The coming weekend (10/14-10/16) the Carbon Crew is attending the Alaska Bioneers event at UAA. 3. Mat-Su Metal Hedz: Rep. Denise Reeve Excused absence. 4. Mat-Su Veterinary Assist: Rep. Denise Reeve Excused absence. 5. Mat-Su Monitor: Rep. Hattie Schmidtkunz Still need writers. The next issue of the monitor is coming out soon. 6. MSC Paramedic Association: Rep. Desiree Chambers Completed injury prevention boards to put out in Snodgrass. The boards cover everything from hiking safety to safe driving in Alaska. 7. Order of the Iron Chariots: Sen. Britney Kauffman Meetings are going to be held on Thursdays at 2:30. 8. Survival Club: Rep. Chris Harris Meeting at 2:00 in the Student Government office. 9. Team Art: Rep. Denise Reeve Polling on facebook for the officers. Will be counting the votes soon and announce the officers.

10. Veterans Club: Rep. Chad Stone No meeting this week due to Chads absence. 11. College Students for Christ: Rep. Chaz Lyons Excused absence. 12. MSC Arctic Dragons: Rep. Chaz Lyons Game at 6:00 tonight. VI. Business A. Unfinished Business B. New Business 1. Veterans Day Events. Jo Didiano stated that Veterans Day is 11/11/11 this year. In past years, the college has done several 2. Club Funding. The Matsu Monitor requested funding due to the rising cost of the paper. Sen. Chase Perrins motioned to fund the Matsu Montior for the full amount of $300. Rep. David Johnson seconded. The motion passed without objection. The Math Club requested funding for the full amount of $300 for funding the Thanksgiving baskets and a plaque in PTs honor. Sen. Darrin Swain motioned to fund the Math Club for the full amount of $300. Rep. David Johns seconded. The motion passed without objection. VII. Guest Comments VIII. Adjournment 1. Sen.
