We know that C 2 = A2 + B 2 + 2 AB cos , where is the angle between A and B . a) If C 2 = A2 + B 2 , cos = 0, and the angle between A and B is 90 (the vectors are perpendicular). b) If C 2 < A 2 + B 2 , cos < 0, and the angle between A and B is greater than 90 . c) If C 2 > A 2 + B 2 , cos > 0, and the angle between A and B is less than 90 .
