Produce simple engineering scale Summary Vi Xuan Ha

In this unit we create three different types of model using different materials. The first model we build was made out of foam polystyrene. We create a stairs and multible layers with polystyrene. We also painted to reconise the different elements use to create this model i.e. brick wall, cement. I learned many things while doing this model like everything has to be correct in proportion and size. The second model was a Cross Section Detail of a roof and eave. We use many different types of material like wood to make the roof, cardboard for wall plaster and polystyrene as the wall. In this model there are many things that I learnt like the angle of the wood has to be correct to fit with into the correct position. The last model we done was a column made from cardboard and connected together by a glue gun and bolts. In this model it is very important to make sure that the angle is correct or else it would not combine with the other column. During this unit I have learnt many new things. Besides learning how to build different types of models, Ive learnt that everything model plan has to be built to exact or else it would not work properly. If angles werent correct it could be a major factor if your model doesnt end up working. There are many factor involve in every model built for example in the last model if the knee joint isnt correct than the ridge joint would not join the other model.
