PHYATHAI VISION

THE IMPORTANCE AND BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT

The checking of health by measuring weight, height and eyesight is a regular activity at Phyathai School. The equipment normally used in the measurement of eyesight includes standard sized eye charts made from paper which students, arranged into rows, have to read numbers from one at a time. We believe that this method is not accurate as it allows for students to listen for and hear answers from students in front and use that information when they come forward to be measured leading, of course, to inaccurate answers. Phyathai Vision is a standard sizes eye chart which allows for the changing of numbers and is water resistant. Phyathai eye chart are constructed from iron plates left over from making chalk boards for use in classroom which are then spray-painted white and used in place of the standard sized paper eye chart which are non-water resistant.
