REQUEST FOR SUBMITTALS FOR Logo Design Services for the Koreatown/Northgate Association November 2011

The Koreatown/Northgate Association (hereafter referred to as the KoNo District) is seeking a qualified artist, designer or graphic artist to help develop a new logo for the Koreatown Northgate District which runs along Telegraph Avenue from 20th to 35th Streets in the City of Oakland. The designer may be an amateur, professional or student in the profession. Submittals are requested to include the following features:

The design would include the letters K, O, N, O, which would depict the
new name of the Koreatown Northgate CBD area. The letters may be all in lower or upper case, or in a combination of both; Historically, the colors used in the logo include black, red and orange, however it will be up to the artist to submit their own color scheme; The logo must be readable in color or in black and white; The logo must be applicable to a variety of uses, including, but not limited to: business cards, letterhead, vests, shirts, jackets, hats, banners, metal plates, etc.; The artist should live or work in the City of Oakland;

Award: The winning entry applicant shall be awarded $500.00 for the final selected logo. The Koreatown Northgate (KoNo) Association Board of Directors reserves the right to: A. accept, reject, advise on or recommend final alterations to the selected logo submittal; B. reject any and all submittals and terminate the solicitation of materials; C. re-open the solicitation based upon the quality of submittals; Timeline for Submittal: The selection process will be implemented as follows:

All proposed logos due to the KoNo Office November 30th, 2011, at 4:00 p.m.; The winning submittal will be announced in early January and the $500 award will be granted at that point.
