Additional Information American is a sleep-deprived nation and the Illinois State University community is no different. In the 2011 National College Health Association survey of Illinois State students, sleep was listed as second largest barrier to academic success. Faculty and staff list sleep among their top health issues as well. In a recent survey, 35 percent of faculty and staff listed sleep issues as negatively impacting their work in the past 12 months. Lack of sleep can make people slow, vacant and lack focusmuch like the walking dead. Zombies will invade the Illinois State Quad and hand out sleep kits with helpful tools to encourage good sleep habits. Zombies will be on the Quad on Monday, October 24 from 11 a.m. to Noon and from Noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October, 26. In the event of rain, sleep kits will be handed out at Milner Plaza outside of Milner Library.
