What Have We Done So Far? Badges: First Aid Badge Stage 3: Over a period of 4-5 weeks we have learnt and demonstrated First Aid. Skills gained from this are to know what to do at the scene of an incident, know how to deal with minor burns and grazes and to recognise the symptoms of shock.
Several people attended the Young Leaders Training weekend and completed most of the modules. Some modules are still awaiting completion but most of them are done. Everyone was presented with the badge and a certificate to compliment them for their effort. Torin, Curtis & Nathan received the Scouting Skills Activity badge for their work on camps during certain camps where they practised their leadership skills.

Torin received the physical education badge for running a presentation on Monday, November 28th. Camps:
So far we have been on three camps as our new group. We went to the GOFA camp where we helped. We completed various jobs such as surfacing the road and assisting the building of the new fellowship shelters. As we are all doing the Duke Of Edinburgh award we had a practise hike. We walked from the Yaddlethorpe Methodist church to Primrose Hill in just 1 and hours. Some of the Explorers who attended the Young Leaders Training weekend at Raywell are now putting their skills into practise at their local scout groups. As a group we also helped at the Scouts Night Challenge. All of us that stayed, were up helping until after midnight and we did a good job. We worked well as a team on all camps!
