Role: Street Collectors - Stepping Stone What's Involved? Stepping Stone are looking for 6 street collectors to collect outside the O2 before concerts. We are collecting on November 9th, 10th, 12th, 13th, 16th, 17th, 18th and 29th. Collectors will be asked to collect between 5pm and 8pm, although these times may vary as some concerts begin earlier than others. After collecting, there will also be a possibility of admission to the show for the volunteers. Where: The O2 Arena, Dublin 1 When: November 9th, 10th, 12th, 13th, 16th, 17th, 18th and 29th. 5pm - 8pm Role: Bucket Collection Volunteer (Homebase/ Argos) Teenage Cancer Trust What's Involved? Join our team for Teenage Cancer Trust's Christmas Collection Weekend at Homebase stores across Ireland! We've got the fantastic opportunity to hold bucket collections at Homebase stores over the weekend of 15/16 December 2012 and Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th of January. This is an amazing chance to raise much needed funds for Teenage Cancer Trust. All funds raised in ROI will solely support the refurbishment of the St John's Cancer Ward at Our Lady's Childrens Hospital, Crumlin. Where: Homebase and Argos nationwide When: See above Role: Santa Experience Volunteers! - Dublin S.P.C.A What's Involved? We are so excited that the Santa Experience is up and running again for 2012. This experience is where kiddies meet Santa, receive a gift, and listen to our magical Christmas story. *Santa Helpers will meet and greet the children and help round up families for storytime. The children will meet our animals like Frodo the horse, Swayze the donkey and wish a Happy Christmas to all Santa's cats, dogs, geese etc. *We are looking for enthusiastic, kiddie friendly, christmas mad volunteers who are willing and able to muck in and enjoy the experience! Where DSPCA, Rathfarnham When: The last four weeks running up to Christmas Role: Youth Mentor with Le Cheile Mentoring Project - Le Cheile Mentoring Project What's Involved? Le Cheile Mentoring Project is recruiting for male and female volunteer mentors aged 20 and over. A Le Cheile mentor is a role model who works one-to-one with a young person or parent involved with the Probation Service. Being a mentor involves supporting a young person or parent and can include trying new activities, as well as assisting with practical issues such as accessing training or education. Where: Dublin various locations When: 3 hours a week for one year Role: Personal Executive Assistant to CEO./ Media Communications Officer - Camara Education What's Involved: The PA role has been created to provide daily support and administrative management for our CEO. The main purpose of the Media Comms Officer role is to help maximise Camara's presence in local and national press, to develop Camara's external communications and to engage with supporters through social media networks. Where Chapelizod, Dublin 20 When: 20 to 30 hours a week for three- six months Role: Cinema Club Coordinator/ Large Events/Social Events - ALONE What's Involved: Co-ordinate running of the Cinema Club *Contact older people in advance to secure places *Available the last Wednesday of every month for the full day (10am - 4pm approx). Other Event Management volunteers needed. Where: Cassidys Hotel/ Pleasant Street, Dublin 8 When: 1-2 hours a week and last Wednesday of every month Role: Christmas Hamper and Christmas Dinner Deliveries - Alone What's Involved: Deliver Christmas Hampers and Dinners to older people in the run up to Christmas and on Christmas day.
