Role: Event Volunteer - Temple Bar Traders What's Involved? From the 22th to the 27st January 2013 the cobblestone streets of Temple Bar will play host to Ireland's premier celebration of Irish Music and Culture. This will be TradFest's eights year and is set to be the biggest and best yet: from festival concerts with internationally renowned artists to film screenings, dramas and loads of free e vents TradFest really has something for everyone! here: Dublin Temple Bar When: Max 14 hours per day for 6 days Role: Steward for International Volunteer Day Event - Dublin City South Volunteer Centre What's Involved? Every year Dublin City South Volunteer Centre runs a large 'Thank You' event whereby organisations are invited to bring their volunteers for a night of celebration on the 5th of December. The night consists of wine and canape reception, music, a short presentation, goodie bags and a free raffle. *Volunteers are needed to help set up/ tear down the room, be stationed at entrances to guide guests to the venue. Meet and Greet and help with registration. Help serve wine, tea and coffee and food. Help with the AV and music set up and management Where: Wood Quay, Dublin 8 When: Wednesday the 5th of December Role: Bucket shakers for 24 Hour Carol-athon - Dublin Simon Community What's Involved? Dublin Simon Community is recruiting volunteers to assist with the Sing for Simon campaign from 21st to 22nd December. Join our 24 Hour carolling extravaganza on Grafton Street during the busiest and most festive time of the year. Volunteers also needed to help with the launch on Sunday the 2nd of December Where City centre When: 2 hours either in 2nd of December or 21st/22nd December Role: Christmas Carolling Collection Volunteers - Threshold What's Involved? Threshold is seeking 'vocally talented' volunteers to help with Carol Singing Collections around Dublin as Christmas approaches. If you are interested in helping out, please contact them today! Dates we need volunteers for are: 12 December 7-9pm at Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, and 13th December 4-9pm at The Square in Tallaght. Where: Dublin various locations When: Dates as above. Role: Volunteer to sell Lollipops in a centre for a couple of hours - Oesophageal Cancer Fund What's Involved: Sellling Lollipops in return for a donation in a local centre for a couple of hours Where Your local shopping centre When: 2 hours on either 22nd &/or 23rd February 2013 Role: Leaflet Distribution Volunteer - Campaign for Children What's Involved: Volunteers are needed nationwide on Thursday 8 November for on-street promotion of the Yes for Children campaign. Please join us to distribute leaflets about this important referendum. All volunteers will receive a briefing and will be working with a staff person at all times. Where: Nationwide - City Centres across Ireland When: 1-2 hours on Thursday 8th November Role: Christmas Admin Volunteer Plan Ireland What's Involved: Established in 2003, Plan Ireland is a dynamic organisation that supports Plans work worldwide with a particular focus on West Africa. Funding is received from a variety of sources including through the public via child sponsorship, Irish Aid, trusts, foundations and corporate firms. *Tasks: To support the Marketing & Fundraising Department in: *General Administration duties *Logging and monitoring Christmas donations *Fulfilling Christmas packs *Other administration tasks as requested *The closing date for this role is Friday 16th November at 5pm.
