A 25-ton capacity telescopic crane will be utilized in lifting trusses and other heavy members. (Maximum load of one truss is less than 5-tons.) To prevent damage on surfaces of the member and other lifting hazard, steel sling should not be directly in contact w/ structural members. Webbing sling or jute sacks in between shall be used. a. Do not allow splice on lifting sling. b. Secure all unused sling wire/belt before lifting. c. Never wrap rope around a hook. d. Tension at all wire/belt of the sling should be equal. e. Fit the sling to a sling angle min. 45 degrees. f. Secure all material to prevent movement or possible dislocation. g. Always place a hook of crane align with the center of gravity. h. Make a barrier and warning signs DO NOT ENTER-LIFTING IN PROGRESS (at least 4 sets) and lifting zones.
