Hey Keys!
Happy 2012! I hope everyone enjoyed the beginning of the new year, and had an awesome break as well! But now, the new semester has started up and you know what that means, Keys! Its time to get back to work and continue to contribute to our community! For all of those who are concerned about whether or not they filled up their hours for last semester, dont worry, weve got your back! In one of our next meetings, well be passing out probation slips to everyone who did not meet the 15hr physical/10hr nonphysical requirement. The slip will inform you about the number of hours youll have to make up for the fall semester. Members on probation will have the first six weeks to make up their first semester hours; more details about the rules for probation will be addressed at the next meeting. whole new semester full of events dedicated to servicing our community! Besides awesome community events, theres also DCON and our end of the year banquet to look forward to! DCON, for those who dont already know about it, is short for District Convention. Its a get together for all of the Key Clubs in our district and is a great event for meeting new people, learning of different ways to dedicate yourself to your community, AND bettering your skills as a leader (not to mention, its really fun)! If youre interested in attending DCON, please contact our Treasurer, Kimmi, and shell be able to tell you all about it. (DCON is an especially good event to go to if you plan on becoming a Key Club officer next year!) That will be it Keys, I hope you all enjoy the rest of the school year, and hopefully the rest of 2012 too!
