How to use the autoclave


Due to regularly returning problems with the autoclave here a description how you should handle it. Check the water : IT SHOULD BE WATER not a agar/TY like substance

If its not clean : remove it and replace it with fresh water!

Check the water level : It should be visible in the centerhole of the bottom plate (just below the top of the plate) Check the water level in the expansion drum ( between high and low) Bind the sterilisation bag at the top with sterilisation tape. o o Do not button up the bag (air cannot expand) Do not pierce the bag (TY and so will leak in the autoclave)

Close the exhaust and START the sterilization Sterilize your waste Check tape after sterilisation o Tape should contain black stripes ( sterilization OK) Button up the grey litterbag and put a sticker on it indicating: Geautoclaveerd Bedrijfsafval Biologie Put the litterbag in the red waste container in the elevator hall Remove the bag and put it in a grey litterbag o o Again: CHECK THE WATER AND REPLACE IT WITH CLEAN WATER IF NECESSARY
