Rich Ferrone Contact Number: 973-326-7482 Residential Burglaries Between January 23 24, 2012, the Morris Township Police Department responded to three reported residential burglaries in the Cromwell Hills section of town. On January 23rd, patrols responded to homes on Wyndmoor Dr. and Colonial Dr. On the morning of January 24th, patrols investigated a burglary of a separate Colonial Dr. home. The three break-ins to single family homes are believed to have occurred during the day of Monday, January 23rd. Residents are urged to report any suspicious activity/vehicles they may have seen that day to the Morris Township Police Dept. at 973-539-0777. Besides locking doors and using deadbolt locks, homeowners can deter criminal activity by making the home look occupied. Criminals prefer the cover of darkness, and will gravitate towards a home that has no lights on at all. Interior lights on timers and leaving a television or radio on inside the house will give the appearance that someone is still home. Exterior motion sensing lights around the property also help to move criminals down the street.
