We refer to your application for project work with us through University of Southern California. InStep,Infosys Global Internship Program (Infosys Technologies Limited referred to as Infosys or the Company in this letter),is pleased to offer you an opportunity as a student trainee to work on a project(the Internship) as per the following terms and conditions:

You will be provided with airfare from the country in which your University is located to BANGALORE. Please note that this transportation from and to your university and BANGALORE will be provided to you only once. Additionally, should you be required to travel between the Infosys offices located in different cities as part of your project, the Company will bear the cost of such travel. Your entitlements will be communicated to you at that time.

Applicable deductions would be made from the total stipend and the balance would be paid out at the end of the month.

You would also be provided with medical care and would be covered under the Personal Accident Insurance and Hospitalization Insurance of the Company for the duration of your project. If you require additional coverage, you would need to obtain this in your personal capacity. During your project period, you will also be provided with a cab ride of 2 cabs per week. The Stipend and other allowances (as applicable) would be paid to you prorated to the number of days that you have interned with the Company in the month, as per Company policy. As a part of the benefits offered to you, you will be provided breakfast and dinner at the guesthouse in which you are housed, as well as lunch at the Infosys office at which you are situated, under your food allowance. If you should be required to use the bus, library and fitness facilities (if any), you will be provided access during the period of your project in accordance with Company policies. For the duration of the project, you will be required to adhere to certain policies / practices that are applicable to employees of the Company. These have been highlighted in the Student Handbook and constitute an enforceable code of conduct. Additionally, you will be required to sign agreements with Infosys relating to protection of Infosys confidential and proprietary information. The Company disclaims all liability and responsibility for acts or omissions by you that are in violation of any law, guideline, rule or regulation. This offer as a student trainee is subject to the fulfillment by you of legal requirements pertaining to the internship in India. Please note that your internship may be terminated by the Company immediately if you are found violating any of the rules or regulations (including the Code of Conduct) of the Company. This offer is not to be construed as, and does not constitute, an offer of employment in the Company. Infosys reserves the right to terminate this agreement / offer at will. In case you are interested in pursuing a career as an employee of Infosys, you will be required to go through the selection procedures defined for the same as per Company policy. Please note that your internship with Infosys does not entitle you to any special consideration in terms of the selection procedures or a guarantee of an offer of employment with Infosys. We would like to ensure that you are updated on a few things in order that your assignment with Infosys is productive and enjoyable. You are assigned a Student Mentor who will assist you with regard to any queries that you may have regarding the country, the Company or your project. Your Student Mentor is Preeti pincha(Preeti_Pincha@infosys.com). In case of any joining related query, you can contact your student mentor.

You will be required to report to your Student Mentor on 02 Jun 2008 at 9.00 a.m.

You will be given an access card for the duration of the project in order that your movements within the premises are not curtailed. This card will also list the name and number of your Student Mentor in the local language in case of any emergencies and you are expected to carry it at all times. You will also be assigned a Project Mentor who will guide you with your project. Your Project Mentor is Ravi Prakash Gorthi (ravi_gorthi@infosys.com). You are requested to get in touch with your Project Mentor for all project-related queries prior to the start of the internship. At the end of the project, you will be required to make a presentation on your project and hand over a copy of your project report to your Project Mentor. You will also be required to inform your Student Mentor as to whether your project has to be graded in keeping with your academic requirements. The Stipend and certain other allowances (as applicable) are to enable you to offset expenses. They are exclusive of both accommodation and food (which are considered as separate allowances, as set forth in your internship offer letter) as well as airfare (both from and to your university) and transportation from and to your workplace in India and provide amply for any additional expenses that you may incur. The dress code: You will be required to dress formally on all Mondays and Tuesdays. The attire on all other days of the week is semi-formal. Casual dress is the norm on Fridays. Please refer to the link of Student Handbook for further details (http://www.infosys.com/instepweb/includes/InternHandbook.pdf). At the end of the project, you will be required to complete certain formalities. These have been outlined in your Student Handbook. Please log on to the link given above and ensure that you go through the Student Handbook carefully in advance.

UNDERTAKING

I, Abhiram, do hereby agree to abide by the policies, rules and regulations governing employees of Infosys in their conduct and those specified in the Student Handbook.
