Fish Therapy
The Garra Rufa fish, known for their therapeutic properties, originally come from the warm waters of Turkey. These toothless fish are recognised for their numerous healing benefits and effectiveness in exfoliating, cleansing, massaging and softening of the skin. The fish stimulate acupuncture points, helping to regulate the nervous system and relax the body, during which, they release an enzyme known as Dithranol, that helps to soothe and aide a variety of skin disorders, such as, psoriasis, eczema, and severe dry skin. Here at Garra Rufa Spa & Beauty, we are one of the first to bring this unique treatment to our customers, which you can enjoy in a calm and deep relaxing atmosphere to destress and regain confidence in your skin. This exotic treatment begins with a gentle sea salt wash to cleanse your specified area, before submersing yourself into one of our eight specially customised tanks; these can accommodate up to 10 people at any one time. At first you will feel a flutter of fins against your skin as the fish gently suck and nibble away. To help you at ease so that you are fully comfortable in your surroundings to embrace this experience, you can sit back and enjoy a complimentary green tea. After the treatment, the area will again be washed and moisturised, leaving your skin feeling exhilarated, refreshed, and healthy... as if you are walking on air. This experience is ideal for those individuals who are on their feet all day and deserve to be pampered, or for those celebrating and who want to indulge in something new, exciting and daring. Facials
At Garra Rufa Spa & Beauty, we use the Kaeso collection for all our skincare products. Kaeso define themselves as the innocence of beauty because their products do not contain any harsh chemicals and are completely free from:

Parabens - a preservative which can disturb and imbalance your hormones,

and are related to disorders such as asthma and eczema. Propylene Glycol - a wetting agent and solvent used in many beauty products, as well as in car engines. Mineral Oil - coats the skin preventing it from breathing and releasing toxins, which can result in premature skin aging and acne. Sulphate - is a synthetic detergent derived from coconut oil. This ingredient is found in nearly every personal cleansing product. In concentrations of only 2-5%, it can cause skin irritation and dermatitis. Our trained therapist will diagnose your skin type and tailor one of our designed facials below to suit your specific needs.

KAESO Calming FACIAL SUITABLE NORMAL/SENSITIVE SKIN Using ingredients containing vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant which helps protect skin against the environment, mulberry to soothe and moisturise, and pomegranate to help protect skin against UV damage caused by free radicals.
