    Take a close look at your sand sample under the magnifying lens. Draw what you see.

    Think about this sands life cycle. What is it made from? Where did it come from?
    Where has it been? How did it get there? What could possibly happen to it in the
    future? Write a narrative story told in the point of view of the sand (1st person) about the
    possibilities that youve thought of. Be creative and have fun. This will be graded for
    content (ideas and whether you followed directions), but you still need to pay attention to
    conventions (spelling, grammar, and punctuation) so that I can read it easily.
