Using your dictionary, look for the meaning of the words found below. Write

You’ve been using nouns all along, when you are talking. Nouns are names of
people, places, things, events, and ideas. Read and understand all about
POSSESSIVE NOUNS on pages 39-40, CONNECT, of your textbook.

COLLECTIVE
NOUN
COLLECTIVE NOUN is a noun that refers to a group of people, animals, or
things.

EXAMPLES:

COUNT NOUN is a noun that can be quantified, or can be counted with


numbers. On the other hand, MASS NOUN is a noun that can’t be quantified, or
can’t be counted with numbers. It is quantified with the use of a word that
signifies an amount.
